{"id":20,"date":"2016-06-13T10:53:51","date_gmt":"2016-06-13T10:53:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.humanwriting.com\/bible\/?page_id=20"},"modified":"2016-06-13T10:53:51","modified_gmt":"2016-06-13T10:53:51","slug":"genesis-6","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/metawareness.com\/scripture\/genesis-6\/","title":{"rendered":"Genesis 6"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-size: 1.05em;\"><span id=\"en-NKJV-139\" class=\"text Gen-6-1\">The Wickedness and Judgment of Man<\/span><\/h3>\n<div class=\"chapter-1\">\n<p><span class=\"text Gen-6-1\"><span class=\"chapternum\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"bottom: -0.1em; font-size: 1.25em; font-weight: bold; left: 0px; line-height: 0.8em; position: relative;\">1\u00a0<\/span>Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NKJV-140\" class=\"text Gen-6-2\"><span class=\"versenum\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-size: 0.75em; font-weight: bold; vertical-align: top;\">2\u00a0<\/span>that the sons of <b>the ancestors<\/b> saw the daughters of men, that they\u00a0<i>were<\/i>\u00a0beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span id=\"en-NKJV-141\" class=\"text Gen-6-3\"><span class=\"versenum\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-size: 0.75em; font-weight: bold; vertical-align: top;\">3\u00a0<\/span>And the\u00a0ancestors<span class=\"small-caps\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-variant: small-caps;\"><b>\u00a0(commands of the generations before)<\/b><\/span>\u00a0taught us, \u201cMy Spirit shall not strive<span class=\"footnote\" style=\"font-size: 0.65em; font-weight: bold; vertical-align: top;\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-size: 0.65em; font-weight: bold; vertical-align: top;\" data-blogger-escaped-value=\"[&lt;a href=&quot;#fen-NKJV-141a&quot; title=&quot;See footnote a&quot;&gt;a&lt;\/a&gt;]\">[<a title=\"See footnote a\" href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Genesis%206&amp;version=NKJV#fen-NKJV-141a\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"color: #b37162; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: top;\">a<\/a>]<\/span>\u00a0with man forever, for he\u00a0<i>is<\/i>\u00a0indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.\u201d <b>(man&#8217;s flesh is weak, craving for carnal pleasure, but it has a price)<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NKJV-142\" class=\"text Gen-6-4\"><span class=\"versenum\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-size: 0.75em; font-weight: bold; vertical-align: top;\">4\u00a0<\/span>There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward (Giants don&#8217;t automatically refer to giant humans, but more likely to immens animals), when the sons of the ancestors\u00a0came in to the daughters of men and they bore\u00a0<i>children<\/i>\u00a0to them. Those\u00a0<i>were<\/i>\u00a0the mighty men who\u00a0<i>were<\/i>\u00a0of old, men of renown. <b>(Now, consider a Asian short person seeing a western, or even indian person. They would be huge. Did the writers of this text fail to include this in their translation correctly? Also, as the magnetic field of Earth might have fluctuated, so might length of man have differed after the last Ice age. The first had to conquer predators and make &#8216;living space&#8217; for their communities. Those were the &#8216;mighty men&#8217;.)<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NKJV-143\" class=\"text Gen-6-5\"><span class=\"versenum\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-size: 0.75em; font-weight: bold; vertical-align: top;\">5\u00a0<\/span>Then the\u00a0ancestors<span data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-variant: small-caps;\"><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/span><span class=\"footnote\" style=\"font-size: 0.65em; font-weight: bold; vertical-align: top;\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-size: 0.65em; font-weight: bold; vertical-align: top;\" data-blogger-escaped-value=\"[&lt;a href=&quot;#fen-NKJV-143b&quot; title=&quot;See footnote b&quot;&gt;b&lt;\/a&gt;]\">[<a title=\"See footnote b\" href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Genesis%206&amp;version=NKJV#fen-NKJV-143b\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"color: #b37162; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: top;\">b<\/a>]<\/span>\u00a0saw that the wickedness of man\u00a0<i>was<\/i>\u00a0great in the earth, and\u00a0<i>that<\/i>\u00a0every intent of the thoughts of his heart\u00a0<i>was<\/i>\u00a0only evil continually. <b>(The community noticed that many people did wrongful deeds, they needed to address this to keep the community healthy. Evil doesn&#8217;t automatically mean &#8216;external driving force&#8217;. It more likely was recognized as such, but was seen as causality of actions where negative for the group.)<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NKJV-144\" class=\"text Gen-6-6\"><span class=\"versenum\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-size: 0.75em; font-weight: bold; vertical-align: top;\">6\u00a0<\/span>And the\u00a0<span class=\"small-caps\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-variant: small-caps;\"><b>ancestors<\/b><\/span>\u00a0were sorry that they\u00a0had made (spread) man on the earth, and they\u00a0were grieved in their\u00a0heart.<b>(This had not happened while being nomads as much. Now that the groups settled, there seemed to be more thrive over possession and land. Something that will impact even the writers&#8217; own world. Consider a person seeing that the group without hygene fell to a sickness and was mostly eradicated? Of course this was due to their own doing. But they didn&#8217;t know how it happened, so it must have felt like punishment.)<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NKJV-145\" class=\"text Gen-6-7\"><span class=\"versenum\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-size: 0.75em; font-weight: bold; vertical-align: top;\">7\u00a0<\/span>So the\u00a0ancestors<span class=\"small-caps\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-variant: small-caps;\"><b>\u00a0(decisions coming from how communities saw that they would remove an dangerous animal from their surroundings)<\/b><\/span>\u00a0had taught us, \u201cI will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.\u201d <b>(As saying before: The more simple dealing with &#8216;crime&#8217; would be to remove the person, ie. kill them)<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NKJV-146\" class=\"text Gen-6-8\"><span class=\"versenum\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-size: 0.75em; font-weight: bold; vertical-align: top;\">8\u00a0<\/span>But Noah found grace in the eyes of the<span data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-variant: small-caps;\">\u00a0<b>ancestors<\/b><\/span>.<b>(one of the guidelines gave an\u00a0opportunity\u00a0for the &#8216;criminal&#8217;. The others feel he has listened to what was taught to him.)<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<h3 data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-size: 1.05em;\"><span id=\"en-NKJV-147\" class=\"text Gen-6-9\">Noah Pleases <i>the ancestors<\/i><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"text Gen-6-9\"><span class=\"versenum\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-size: 0.75em; font-weight: bold; vertical-align: top;\">9\u00a0<\/span>This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with <b>the ancestors<\/b>. <b>(again a historian? or a person knowing a lot, learned man. He seemed to know and read exactly what the ancestors had taught him. He seemed to have all the benefit.)<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NKJV-148\" class=\"text Gen-6-10\"><span class=\"versenum\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-size: 0.75em; font-weight: bold; vertical-align: top;\">10\u00a0<\/span>And Noah begot three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NKJV-149\" class=\"text Gen-6-11\"><span class=\"versenum\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-size: 0.75em; font-weight: bold; vertical-align: top;\">11\u00a0<\/span>The earth also was corrupt before <b>the ancestors<\/b>, and the earth was filled with violence. <strong>(Life as prey wasn&#8217;t really much fun. After tribes had started, it still didn&#8217;t become better)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NKJV-150\" class=\"text Gen-6-12\"><span class=\"versenum\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-size: 0.75em; font-weight: bold; vertical-align: top;\">12\u00a0<\/span>So <b>the ancestors<\/b> looked upon the earth, and indeed it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. <b>(Wondering if <u>history<\/u> is refering to the oral and written recollection of all deeds and\u00a0referring\u00a0to the ancestors is more of the value of emotion of what has happened.)<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<h3 data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-size: 1.05em;\"><span id=\"en-NKJV-151\" class=\"text Gen-6-13\">The Ark Prepared<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"text Gen-6-13\"><span class=\"versenum\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-size: 0.75em; font-weight: bold; vertical-align: top;\">13\u00a0<\/span>And <b>the ancestors (emotional bond to the kinship among men)<\/b>\u00a0had taught\u00a0Noah, \u201cThe end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth. <b>(when a person\u00a0has\u00a0committed\u00a0a crime against the ways of the ancestors, he will be killed, but even possibly, the earlier man already recognized the risk of humanity of extincting itself.)\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NKJV-152\" class=\"text Gen-6-14\"><span class=\"versenum\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-size: 0.75em; font-weight: bold; vertical-align: top;\">14\u00a0<\/span>Make yourself an ark of gopher wood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NKJV-153\" class=\"text Gen-6-15\"><span class=\"versenum\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-size: 0.75em; font-weight: bold; vertical-align: top;\">15\u00a0<\/span>And this is how you shall make it: The length of the ark\u00a0<i>shall be<\/i>\u00a0three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NKJV-154\" class=\"text Gen-6-16\"><span class=\"versenum\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-size: 0.75em; font-weight: bold; vertical-align: top;\">16\u00a0<\/span>You shall make a window for the ark, and you shall finish it to a cubit from above; and set the door of the ark in its side. You shall make it\u00a0<i>with<\/i>\u00a0lower, second, and third\u00a0<i>decks.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NKJV-155\" class=\"text Gen-6-17\"><span class=\"versenum\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-size: 0.75em; font-weight: bold; vertical-align: top;\">17\u00a0<\/span>And behold, I Myself am bringing floodwaters on the earth, to destroy from under heaven all flesh in which\u00a0<i>is<\/i>\u00a0the breath of life; everything that\u00a0<i>is<\/i>\u00a0on the earth shall die.<b>(I would think there is a &#8216;bannishing&#8217; commandment created for &#8216;criminals&#8217;, but in sense of natural disaster, it would be more likely that because someone lives in the value, it is due to happen. It was part of the cycle.)<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NKJV-156\" class=\"text Gen-6-18\"><span class=\"versenum\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-size: 0.75em; font-weight: bold; vertical-align: top;\">18\u00a0<\/span>But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall go into the ark\u2014you, your sons, your wife, and your sons\u2019 wives with you.<b>(this banishing would depend on the knowledgable\/judgemental person &#8216;noah&#8217;. The man had learned from his ancestors how to survive, so if he kept to that, there was a good chance of survival.)<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NKJV-157\" class=\"text Gen-6-19\"><span class=\"versenum\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-size: 0.75em; font-weight: bold; vertical-align: top;\">19\u00a0<\/span>And of every living thing of all flesh you shall bring two of every\u00a0<i>sort<\/i>\u00a0into the ark, to keep\u00a0<i>them<\/i>\u00a0alive with you; they shall be male and female. <b>(send a &#8216;criminal&#8217; out with double effect?
